"Less is more" poster
What influences you as a designer? How you do things and what drives your decisions when it come from what you make? This assignment explores how a certain philosophy influences your creative mind. My inspiration for this poster is the famous architect, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. His famous catch phrase "less is more" has become a life motto for some. His philosophy is embodied in this poster through it's use of a very basic type structure coupled with a subtle color palette. Mies also uses very geometric angles within his architecture, using exposed materials to provide depth and contrast. The poster contains some of his most famous works, and also displays the materials he favored exposing.
